After all, Tevye appears to use them interchangeably: If I were a rich man / Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum / All day long I'd biddy biddy bum / If I were a wealthy man. However, I wouldn't go so far as to say they are the "same thing," because I'd probably not talk about a wealthy sauce, a wealthy gas mixture, a wealthy voice, or wealthy language, but I could use rich to describe any of those things. | |
