May 31, 2017 at 9:17 comment added TimR @SovereignSun: My caveats in superscript have addressed the points you're making: "ungrammatical if referring to an occupation you had for a contiguous period" ("when I used to work as a teller on the weekends" would be grammatical since it's referring to something you did on occasion non-contiguously) and "when the meaning...is 'attend as an enrolled student'". where I acknowledge that there are other meanings of "when I used to go".

Also, When I used to go there may mean In the past when I had the habit of going there
