I would use "are" in this case, but it wouldn't seem too weird to use "is". "Are" isIt depends on the better choice because "dynamics" is plural. (In that last sentencescenario: If you're talking about population dynamics in general, I was referring to "dynamics" asthen you would use "is". If you're talking about a wordspecific case with multiple different dynamics in it, so it's singular therethen you would use "are".)
