When I saw a receipt of an e-commerce, I found a sentence "Exclusions apply."

"Apply your 20-character promote code to receive this discount. Exclusions apply. See details at xxxxxxxx.com. Expires MM/DD/YY" on a receipt of an e-commerce.

What does the phrase mean? Particularly, I do not understand what "Exclusions" means in this sentence. Could you give me some concrete examples of "Exclusions"?

Or a money-off coupon's terms and conditions might say "Excluding alcohol, electrical goods, ...". – Weather Vane Nov 15 '17 at 9:13
  • @WeatherVane I added a photo of the receipt. Can you guess the meaning? – Taiki Bessho Nov 15 '17 at 9:25

No I can't guess, but if you follow the link given in "Exclusions apply. See details at ..." they will tell you what those exclusions are. – Weather Vane Nov 15 '17 at 10:04
