What could have we done? Or What could we have done? Which one is the correct usage. As in an interrogative sentence, helping verbs should come before the subject so I think first structure is correct.

  • Only "what could we have done?" is correct. "Have done" should come after the subject in interrogative sentences like this one. – Michael Rybkin Feb 10 at 9:10
