Which sentence is correct?

  1. It will be better that I keep quiet than I will be explaining everything to her.

  2. It will be better that I keep quiet than I will be 'of' explaining everything to her.

First one (explaining) is participle and second is (explaining) gerund. Should I say 3."It will be better that I keep quiet than explaining everything to her".
