please guide what is the difference between compound noun and compound word?

Also guide me about the word "sometimes". is it compound noun or compound word?

thanks in advance.

  • A noun is just a type of word. All nouns are words, but not all words are nouns. If you understand that distinction, then the fact that they are compounds makes no difference in terms of understanding the overall distinction. If you're asking what a compound is, that's something else. – Jason Bassford Supports Monica Aug 6 '19 at 4:52
