I keep running but I never seem to the lose the dark.

Can you please help me with understanding the bolded part from the above sentence. Is the word "lose" used as a noun? Why not "loss"?

If you're talking about the lyrics of Diamonds by Lane 8, I think that there is a typo there. An extra "the" that is not present in the song: to "the" lose. The song really says: "I never seem to lose the dark". "lose" is a verb. – RubioRic Oct 14 '19 at 8:22
