Through the long hard slog was depressing.

Through the wood is the nearest way.

I’ll give you until the next morning.

Are those sentences natural? I’m wondering if “preposition + noun” could be a noun and used as a subject or kind of like that.

  • The PPs "under the siege" and "through the wood" are subjects. "Through the hard slog" is not acceptable. "Until next morning" is complement of "give". – BillJ Oct 25 '20 at 8:30
