We ____ be working very differently after the lockdown is lifted.

  1. will
  2. would

In our country (non-native) sometimes it is difficult to understand the concepts of 'will’ and ‘would'. I would like to know what is the best answer for this sentence.

The lockdown will definitely be lifted one day, so you need to use will to speak about a future event. You would use would to speak about an imaginary situation - "If the lockdown were to be lifted tomorrow I would be very happy." NB You can't describe your country as non-native. Native means 'born in a particular place'. I think you mean that the people of your country are not native speakers of English (it isn't their mother tongue). Apr 8 '21 at 12:50
