Which is correct, Folks?

  1. That rock, which I had accidentally once found on the ground, was magical;

  2. That rock, which I had once accidentally found on the ground, was magical;

  3. That rock, which I accidentally had once found on the ground, was magical;

  4. That rock, which I once had accidentally found on the ground, was magical.

In order to have this question answered wisely, I asked my teacher, but they said, "I haven't got a clue."

    #2 and #4 are the most likely. (I prefer #2 myself, but it would be disingenuous to claim that it had a real advantage.) #1 and #3 might well be heard in uncareful casual conversation, i.e. when thinking faster than one can properly articulate, but on reflection one would probably reorder them.
