Is this explanation legit? Can you think of example of present perfect referring to how much you've done something?

"You've spent" too much time playing that stupid game.

"You've been spending" too much time playing that stupid game.

So, the answer key we use the present perfect simple when we talk about how many things or much of something we have done (have spent too much time) because we are focusing on the completion of an action.
