Along with words, ideas, yarn, and fabric, I love Lego and Minecraft. I'm no expert with any of these. I am a dabbler, a parent, a book designer, a writer, an editor, a knitter, a sewist, a gardener, a hiker. I feed two cats, a dog, and a teenager. I fluctuate between a low-carb and a very-low-carb (ketogenic) diet.

I love SF and speculation in general. I live practically in the woods, which is fitting as I am somewhat hermitish. In everyday practice, I tend to like ideas and words more than people, except for my very favorite people.

I am a firm believer that the very best practitioners of most anything have a firm grasp of the rules but no qualms about breaking them, judiciously, for effect.
