I think technically okay, but better (clearer) would be "I must add to my account an amount sufficient for my needs." (Personally, I prefer "sufficient to my needs", but either's fine.)
Feb 15, 2015 at 0:05 comment added Jim Just as a note, people don't use "top up" in AmE with respect to bank accounts. we do "top off" things like gas tanks, but it generally has the connotation of filling to the top. I'd love if someone were to top off my bank account- I'm not sure what the "it-can't-take-another-cent" limit is, but I'm sure it's a lot! I tend to use "make a deposit" or "put some more money in" about 50/50.
