What does "to have something somewhere" mean? I think we have the causative verbs in the form of "to have something done".

This is a causative "have". That what's done is "taken" is implied by the context. He'll arrange for it to be upstairs. Probably, he'll get someone else to take it up that quickly, although he might take it himself.
