I "I would like to inform you" vs "This is to inform you"............................. - which is more formal and polite?

While writing any kind of Emailsemails (ex business emails).... I have seen many people  , when informing about something to the other person, staringstarting their email with the following 2 sentences  (one or the other):-

"I would like to inform you that the document you asked for has been completed."

"This is to inform you that the document you asked for has been completed."

"I would like to inform you that the document you asked for has been completed."

"This is to inform you that the document you asked for has been completed."

Which sentence looks more formal and polite to the recipient.
